Todd B. Ringler

Todd B. Ringler became Partner of The Alternative Board TAB Suffolk-Long Island in 2019. Todd facilitated and coached a business owner TAB Board as well as an attorney-only TAB Board prior to becoming partner.

Todd is also CEO of Calm Waters Consulting, a business valuation and appraisal firm. He’s a CPA and a Certified Valuation Analyst with a Master’s Degree in Taxation and the State of New York Unified Court System has qualified him as an expert in Accounting & Appraisal work under Article 36 Office of Court Administration.

Todd brings the unique perspective of real-world experience as a business owner and former executive chef owner-operator of a successful 120 seat restaurant. Additionally, his academic education and professional training give him insights and ideas beyond the textbook world. This rare combination of training and education allows Todd to bring a vast knowledge base and broad experience in support of his clients and TAB members.

Todd has developed and implemented both personal and organizational strategic plans, improving both business value and the lives of people in the businesses he serves. He has done this for wholesale, retail, entertainment, service and manufacturing entities, both with public companies and closely held businesses.

As a former Adjunct Professor of Management and Leadership in the Graduate School of Business at Dowling College in Oakdale, and an Adjunct Professor of Business and Accounting at Nassau Community College, he gives back to the community and helps individuals learn basic tenets of business and accounting.

When working in public accounting some of his clients included A&E Television Networks, Bowne Business Systems, Inc., British Airways, Inc., Connoisseur Communications, Club Med USA, Giorgio Armani USA, Inc. & The Lauder Family Group.

Jacquelyn Gernaey

Jacquelyn Gernaey is CEO and founder of HyTech Consulting, a management-consulting firm based on Long Island and founded in 1994. She has more than thirty years’ experience leading both entrepreneurial and large corporations and now focuses on analysis and development of business owners and attorneys.

In 1999 Gernaey co-founded The Alternative Board TAB Suffolk-Long Island. TAB is a selective, by invitation only, membership organization made up of Presidents, CEO’s, and Owners who meet in peer board think tank groups to work in a structured way to address their issues, opportunities and concerns and improve profitability, revenue and efficiency in their companies. She was the first woman to purchase a franchise in The Alternative Board. She facilitates two board of director meetings and mentors the TAB facilitator/coaching team.

In 2012 Gernaey was appointed an Examiner for the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award. Bringing the principles of Quality Management to closely held private companies and the development of the leaders of these businesses is her personal goal.

Prior to HyTech, she was the first woman to be promoted to Division President of American Home Products, a then $8.5 billion corporation. The $25 million division had 200 employees on Long Island. She also served as Vice President of Sales, Marketing and Business Development for United Biomedical, Inc. a vaccine, therapeutics and diagnostics company and acted as General Manager for their Diagnostics Division. She has also been affiliated with several other companies including American Hospital Supply Corporation and Baxter Healthcare Corporation in sales and marketing management.

Jacquelyn was on the Village of Belle Terre Zoning Board of Appeals for several years prior to being appointed, and subsequently elected, Village Trustee in June, 2016.

Bruce Gernaey

Bruce Gernaey is Executive Director of The Alternative Board TAB Suffolk-Long Island. He has more than 25 years experience leading both entrepreneurial and large corporations and is focused on helping CEOs, presidents, owners and partners create, execute and exceed their personal and business goals. This is accomplished through sales, marketing and management consulting, pre and post employment talent management assessments, executive coaching and facilitating peer boards of business owners.

Gernaey co-founded TAB Suffolk-Long Island. TAB is a selective, by invitation only, membership organization made up of presidents, CEOs and business owners who meet in small structured boards on a monthly basis to increase revenue, improve profitability and operate their businesses more effectively through the accountability of a board of directors. TAB has grown to over 150 members on Long Island since its founding in 1999.

Prior to founding TAB Suffolk-Long Island, Gernaey was a division marketing director for Olympus Corporation, managing a $1 million marketing budget and growing sales at three times the market rate to $120 million. He served as director of sales and marketing for several companies, growing successful businesses ranging from start-up to large multi-national corporations. During his professional career he has provided sales, marketing, strategic planning and new business development consulting to entrepreneurial and large corporations. Bruce has a master’s degree and is a TAB-certified facilitator and Strategic Business Leadership® Coach.

Woody Greenberg

Woody Greenberg joined the The Alternative Board TAB Long Island team in 2005 and currently facilitates and coaches two TAB business-owner boards. He has been a senior executive and consultant for over 40 years with a record of success in diverse industries. His consulting practice is focused on strategic planning, financial management, operations improvement and family issues for small businesses.

Greenberg is a Certified Board Facilitator and Certified Strategic Business Leadership™ Coach for The Alternative Board. TAB is a selective, by invitation only, membership organization made up of presidents, CEOs and business owners who meet in small structured boards on a monthly basis to increase revenue, improve profitability and operate their businesses more effectively through the accountability of a board of directors. TAB has grown to over 150 members on Long Island since its founding in 1999.

As President and COO, Greenberg was instrumental in the growth and profitability of Charles Greenberg & Sons, Inc. a 900-employee manufacturer of children’s shirts. While at Greenberg, he commercialized his in-house systems development team by co-founding Computer Generated Solutions, a professional services firm in the computer software field. He was Chairman and CEO of CGS in its early growth years, subsequently selling his interest in that firm.

He received an AB from Princeton and an MBA from Columbia School of Business. He has been a board member of the American Apparel Manufacturers Association and the Metro NY Chapter of the Young Presidents’ Organization, and has served as a commercial arbitrator with the American Arbitration Association.

Nancy Engelhardt

Nancy Engelhardt joined The Alternative Board TAB Suffolk-Long Island team in 2017 and currently facilitates and coaches a TAB board made up exclusively of attorneys. She has extensive experience in executive coaching, leadership development, strategic planning, and helps businesses identify their goals, build meaningful relationships and develop high performing teams that produce measurable results.

Nancy co-founded Interactive Marketing Services (IMS) a direct marketing and database management company, that explored relevant new markets and raised venture capital for internet based direct marketing and customer service software. IMS was renamed eShare Technologies and acquired by a public company in less than two years.

Nancy was Founding Director of The Energeia Partnership, an academy for regional stewardship helping to bring together influential leaders in the region, providing them with the information and networks necessary to leverage their ability to be change agents in their businesses and in the greater community. Under Nancy’s leadership, the program trained over 400 leaders who are serving as influential decision makers on Long Island.

Nancy is a recipient of the Athena Leadership Award, and was recognized as one of Long Island Business News’ Top 50 Women and the Long Island Press’ 50 Most Powerful People on Long Island.

Mitchell York

Mitchell York joined The Alternative Board TAB Suffolk-Long Island team in 2017 and currently facilitates and coaches a TAB business-owner board. Mitch has been a professional business coach for more than fifteen years, working with clients in a range of industries including financial services, energy, healthcare, legal, media, education, franchising, manufacturing and the arts.

Mitch is a Certified Board Facilitator and Certified Strategic Business Leadership™ Coach for The Alternative Board. TAB is a selective, by invitation only, membership organization made up of presidents, CEOs and business owners who meet in small structured boards on a monthly basis to increase revenue, improve profitability and operate their businesses more effectively through the accountability of a board of directors. Prior to becoming a business coach, Mitch had a successful corporate career in senior executive positions with high-growth companies. He was president of LendingTree Inc. in its startup phase, creating processes and procedures to help the company position itself for rapid growth, mentoring its management team and workforce. Later, he was president of NetCreations Inc., a publicly-held email marketing company, where he built the executive management team and positioned the company for a successful acquisition.

Mitch launched his business coaching practice in 2001 and has worked with hundreds of individual and corporate clients. He is a certified graduate of Coach U, the world’s largest coach training institution, and a member of the International Coach Federation, from which he received his Professional Certified Coach (PCC) credential. He received an M.B.A. from Columbia University and a B.A. with honors in English from Northwestern University.
