TAB Suffolk - Long Island Facilitator(s)

Each facilitator with The Alternative Board® (TAB) is an experienced business person who has successfully completed an extensive TAB facilitator training program and participates in ongoing training sessions. Most facilitators run or have run their own businesses giving them a unique perspective to share with the board members.

The TAB facilitator guides the group discussions without dominating the meetings and encourages all members to express their views while keeping the discussion on track. They also ensure problem solving ideas are generated and the meeting does not become a gripe session.

John Sasso is the President of Insight Consulting, an independent management-consulting firm in the Long Island, New York area.  He specializes in assisting small to medium sized privately owned companies with their profit and growth plans.

John has extensive experience in developing business plans, marketing strategies, product development plans and arranging for the out-sourcing of operations and materials to low cost factories in Asia and Mexico.  

During his more than 25 years as a top level executive, he succeeded in making strategic acquisitions, turning around troubled businesses, consolidating mergers and acquisitions, and leading a management buyout and initial public offering.  His efforts consistently resulted in sales growth and profit improvement for the companies involved, whose sales range from $4M to $100M.

In 2002 Sasso became a certified facilitator for The Alternative Board (TAB), a selective, by invitation only, membership organization made up of CEOs, Presidents and Owners of private businesses who meet monthly in small structured boards to improve the profitability of their companies and to achieve their personal goals.  He is also certified as a Strategic Leadership™ coach.
